The Rock has been rumored to be presenting the BMF Title belt to the winner of that bout and now The Rock has confirmed that he’ll be at Madison Square Garden on Saturday Night.
"This addition to the company and the brand and to the sport, this BMF belt, I think it's brilliant," The Rock said in an Instagram video alongside UFC President Dana White (via Marc Raimondi of ESPN). "It's so smart and it's just fun, man."
This will mark the first time that The Rock has been inside the Octagon, but he has been a professional MMA fan for a long time now.
A press conference is going to be held on Friday Night and The Rock is expected to make an announcement that is "something I wanted to tell the UFC fans and MMA community first."
"That place is gonna be rocking, it's gonna be electrifying," The Rock said. "I can't wait to get in there, man."
UFC 244 takes place on Saturday, November 2 from Madison Square Garden in New York, New York with Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
