Former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and musician/actor 50 Cent recently had a brief spat on social media.
Bellator MMA President Scott Coker says 50 Cent could probably fight Rampage, but he doesn’t want to see the fight happen.
“Jackson vs. Jackson? I mean, you know, they shouldn’t be fighting,” Coker said to MMA Junkie. “I think that, with 50 Cent, if he wanted to train and really get in there and do it, I think he probably could do it. The guy is in great shape. But to fight Rampage? I’m like this: Why can’t we all just be friends, you know? We should all just be friends. I think when ‘Rampage’ and 50 Cent meet one day, I think they’ll get along. It’ll all be fun. It’s a good time.”
While Rampage has a plethora of experience in combat sports, some amateur boxing experience is all 50 Cent would bring into a potential bout.
Coker believes 50 Cent would be better off helping the sport in other ways, such as managing some fighters.
“But I mean, seriously, what (50 Cent) wants to do in the sport, who knows?” Coker said. “Maybe he wants to manage some fighters. I think he wants to sponsor some fighters.”
50 Cent was in attendance at Bellator 199 and Coker was seen in the fighters entourage on that night.
