Sean O'Malley Expects Title Shot Opportunity With Victory Over Petr Yan At UFC 280: "I'm One Of The Biggest Draws In The UFC"

UFC bantamweight contender, "Suga" Sean O'Malley isn't surprised that UFC President Dana White confirmed he'd get a title shot with a victory over former UFC bantamweight champion, Petr Yan, this weekend.

O'Malley spoke with reporters during Wednesday's media day for Saturday's UFC 280 event in Abu Dhabi ahead of his clash with Yan and confidently proclaimed himself as the biggest draw in the promotion's 135-pound division, which is why White's words didn't surprise the 27-year-old bantamweight star.

“I’m the biggest draw in the bantamweight division, I’m one of the biggest draws in the UFC,” O’Malley said (h/t MMA Junkie). “I go out there and beat the No. 1 guy, who else would I fight other than for the title? So I kind of already knew that, hearing it confirmed from Dana, I mean I already knew that basically so it didn’t do much. I think this is a massive fight, it’s obviously not a main event, but this could be a main event. It’s a massive fight.”
