Jacob “Stitch” Duran is known primarily as one of, if not, the most popular cut man in the history of combat sports. Stitch is also an accomplished author, releasing an autobiography in 2010 titled “From The Fields To The Garden: The Life Of Stitch Duran.” Stitch, who can still be seeing working as a cut man in all major combat sports events, has just released his next book, which got its start after a bit of inspiration.
“The request by the fans who said, ‘How about a second book?’ Everywhere I go the Junkie fans always stop me,” Duran told MMA Junkie Radio. “I think the timing was right. I got released from the UFC. Once the dust settled and I knew I was getting a lot of love and support from the fans and I talked to Zac and asked if he was ready and he jumped on it in a heartbeat. Our goal was to bring it out by early December and we accomplished that mission. People read the book and say, ‘It feels like ‘Stitch’ is talking to me,'” Duran said. “That’s just a good writer.”
MMA fans will next be able to see Stitch work at Bellator 170, which is taking place on Saturday, January 21 with Tito Ortiz and Chael Sonnen headlining.
