Unified lightweight champion Teofimo Lopez has been forced to withdraw from his title fight with George Kambosos Jr. this Saturday night, June 19 because he's tested positive for COVID-19.
The Athletic's Mike Coppinger was the first to report Lopez's withdrawal, sending out a tweet that Triller founder Ryan Kavanaugh informed him of the news. Lopez failed a PCR test this morning and is currently dealing with symptoms from the virus. Kavanaugh also told Coppinger that the promotion has rescheduled the Lopez-Kambosos Jr. clash for August 14.
