Former unified lightweight champion, Teófimo López, and former two-division world champ, Jose Pedraza, are scheduled to meet at a yet-to-be-announced ESPN Top Rank Fight Night event on December 10 in New York City.
ESPN's Mike Coppinger was the first to report the news of the matchup being in the works, although nothing has yet been officially announced regarding the booking. López is 17-1 as a pro and will try to build off of a seventh-round TKO win over Pedro Campa in August in what was his debut at 140-pounds. Pedraza meanwhile sports a professional record of 29-4-1 currently and is coming off a split-draw against former IBF lightweight champion, Richard Commey, also back in August.
