UFC Hall of Famer and current Mayor pro tempore of Huntington Beach, California Tito Ortiz recently gave his prediction for a potential fantasy fight with former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones.
Ortiz whose five title defenses of the UFC light heavyweight title that only sits second to Jones' eleven, spoke with TV Presenter Jerry Coughlan about how a matchup between the two would go and gave a somewhat strange, yet simple answer.
"Umm, I think I would win by split-decision,” Ortiz said.

This wasn't the first time Ortiz has spoke about Jones or talked about fighting him in some aspect, he told TMZ Sports he'd be willing to face Jones back in November 2019 when asked if he would accept a fight with the arguable pound-for-pound greatest fighter of all-time.
“Come on, why wouldn’t I? it's strategy, pressure, pressure, pressure,” he said (h/t BJPenn.com) "I think I can beat Jon Jones, I think I have a good chance, I really do think I’ve got a good chance. If people say, ‘Oh, Tito, bulls**t, you’re over the hill,’ whatever. Come to my camp. Come train with me, come wrestle with me, come do jiu-jitsu with me. Watch my weight training. Watch my biking and stairs that I do. I push myself harder than I pushed myself through my whole career. I’m doing amazing. My mind is in the right place, my body is in the right place.”
