The event, which was headlined by the Middleweight Championship fight between Robert Whittaker and Israel Adesanya, took place in Marvel Stadium in Melbourne, Australia, drawing 57,127 fans for a gate of $5.5 million. The attendance is a new reported UFC record for the promotion

The previous reported UFC attendance record was set at UFC 193 when Ronda Rousey and Holly Holm drew 56,214 fans at Etihad Stadium in Melbourne, Australia. While UFC 243 beat UFC 193 in attendance, UFC 193 drew a gate of $6.8 million.

As far as bonuses go, the Fight of the Night bonus went to the lightweight scrap between Brad Riddell and Jamie Mullarkey, which featured a round three that many are calling the round of the year. Performance of the Night bonuses went to Yorgan de Castro for his first round KO over Justin Tafa and Israel Adesanya, who finished off Robert Whittaker in the second round of their Middleweight Title fight.

All four fighters received an extra $50,000.
