This past weekend, MMA fans were treated to one big event in the form of UFC Fight Night Atlantic City.
The ratings are in for the event and an average of 956,000 viewers checked out the card on Fox Sports 1, headlined by Kevin Lee defeating Edson Barboza.
A heavyweight division bout that saw Justin Willis defeat Chase Sherman by decision brought in the most viewers, with 1,092,000 people checking out that encounter. Viewers were also able to check out the card through streaming options Fox Now and Fox Sports Go, with 14,690 people checking out the bout through that medium.
There was also a four fight preliminary card on Fox Sports 1 headlined by Ryan LaFlare defeating Alex Garcia, which brought in another 561,000 viewers. That portion of the card was also streamed live on Fox Now and Fox Sports Go, bringing in another 9,263 viewers.
Competition was aplenty for UFC Fight Night Atlantic City , with ESPN broadcasting an NBA Playoff Game between the Oklahoma City Thunder and Utah Jazz, plus Adrien Broner boxed Jessie Vargas live on Showtime.
While there is no UFC event this week, MMA fans will get treated to Bellator 198 on Saturday Night, which is headlined by Fedor Emelianenko facing former UFC Heavyweight Champion Frank Mir in the opening round of the Bellator Heavyweight Grand Prix.
