UFC Vets Headlining Fight 2 Night 2 Event

A light heavyweight division attraction will be headlining the upcoming Fight 2 Night 2 event as Matt Hamill will be taking on Luiz Cane.

Cane (17-6-0-1NC) will be entering the fight on a three fight winning streak, defeating the trio of Wesley Martins Garcia De Almeida, Felipe Silva and Mateus Messaros Inacio. Cane won four of nine fights during his UFC tenure, with notable wins coming over Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou and Elliot Marshall. Cane hasn’t suffered a defeat in almost three years, with that loss coming to Alexandre Zaneti at Brazilian Fighting Championships 4.

Hamill (11-8-0) will be entering the fight riding a four fight losing streak and he has not earned a victory in almost five years. Hamill spent a total of seven years competing in the UFC, with his biggest win coming over former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones viz DQ. Hamill also competed one time in the World Series Of Fighting promotion, where he suffered a defeat to fellow UFC veteran Vinny Magalhaes.

Fight 2 Night 2 takes place on Friday, April 28 from the Rafain Palace Hotel in Foz Do Iguaco, Brazil with Luiz Cane and Matt Hamill headlining. Fightful will give quick results of the event when it concludes.
