UFC welterweight contender and former title challenger Colby Covington went after NBA All-Star and champion LeBron James on social media.
James, the 17-time All-Star and four-time MVP responded to criticism from soccer star Zlatan Ibrahimovic for his social and political activism in a post-game interview after the Los Angeles Lakers victory over the Portland Trail Blazers on February 26.
LeBron responded after Zlatan Ibrahimovic criticized him for his activism.

This prompted a quote tweet from Covington, a noted Donald Trump supporter and previous critic of James' political stance as well, which responded with the following.

“When are you gonna speak up about Hong Kong @KingJames?” Covington asked James.
The Lakers star was involved in the NBA's controversy with China in October 2019, started by then Rockets General Manager Daryl Morey tweeting his support for protestors in Hong Kong. The protests which showed protestors staging the burning of James' jerseys, led to James responding and criticizing Morey's support for them.
