Alex Pereira delivered a knockout at LFA 95 that had people concerned for Thomas Powell's life.
Pereira (3-1) took on Powell (4-5) in the main event of LFA 95 on Friday. The GLORY kickboxing star landed a left hook that immediately separated Powell from consciousness. Powell froze up, face-planted and remained on the mat for minutes.
This is Alex Pereira KO. Very scary aftermath. His opponent, Thomas Powell, was out cold for approximately 5 minutes. Didn’t move. One of the scariest byproducts of a KO in recent memory. pic.twitter.com/1qdz8RwV5u

Powell was unconscious for approximately five-minutes and LFA refrained from showing further footage of the finish or close-ups of Powell sleeping. He eventually opened his eyes and was able to sit on a stool. Powell was heard speaking with the medical team and could not remember that he was fighting. Fortunately, Powell was able to leave the cage on his own two feet.
Per the broadcast, Powell walked out of the cage on his own.
