There were two title matches on the WWE Summerslam pre-show and two new champions were crowned.
The first saw Neville win the WWE Cruiserweight Title and now The Uso’s are the new WWE Smackdown Tag Team Champions after defeating The New Day (Big E & Xavier Woods).
This was the featured match of the kick off show and was also the first Smackdown brand match of the event.

E takes out Jimmy before hitting a uranage to Jey for a near fall. E then powerbombs Xavier onto Jey for a near fall before the Usos hit a double spinebuster for a near fall. New Day then hit a uranage backstabber combination for a close near fall before the Usos hit a double splash off of the top rope for a very close near fall of their own. Xavier hits a shining wizard for a near fall before hitting a double team move for yet another near fall. Everyone takes each other out at ringside before the Usos hit E with a series of superkicks and a double splash off of the top rope for the pin and the win.
Winner: The Usos via pinfall
