Report: WWE In Talks To Produce Weekly Show On Facebook Live

Survivor Series may no longer be the only time of the year where Raw and Smackdown battle for brand supremacy, if a new report comes to fruition.

Pro Wrestling Sheet put out a report today saying that WWE are in talks with Facebook to produce a weekly show that would air on a test run on Facebook Live, Facebook's streaming service. If they go ahead with the idea, it would premiere in January and go live on Facebook after Smackdown goes off the air. This would mean that 205 Live would no longer be filmed live.

Creative ideas for the show have changed a few times. However, the plan seems to bee that stars from both Raw and Smackdown would compete for brand supremacy. There is also a mixed tag team concept being floated around that would feature interesting combinations of male and female wrestlers, but the report notes that they haven't settled on what exactly this new show would be about.

This is notable considering WWE recently filed a trademark for "WWE Mixed Match Challenge", which sounds like the concept the report described.

WWE 205 Live has been airing after Smackdown since its inception last year, shelving WWE Superstars tapings.
