REPORT: WWE UK Stars Offered New Deals, But UK Network Show Appears To Be In Limbo

Apparently the top stars of WWE's UK Division have signed new contracts, or at least been offered them. Now if only there was a show they could work on, because the WWE Network program appears to be in limbo right now.

According to a report in The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, current UK Champ Pete Dunne, former Champ Tyler Bate, and top contenders Trent Seven, Mark Andrews and Wolfgang are getting offered new three-year deals at a higher salary. They may have already signed. All five talents originally signed for the reported $20,000 per year, but now they're getting a raise.

However, as the familiar caveat goes, plans have changed. The entire WWE UK strategy may have been altered or completely scrapped. WWE originally booked monthly TV tapings that would have started in June. We are currently halfway through June and nothing has been announced. According the report, even the talent is in the dark about a possible start date for the tapings of the Network series.

It has been reported that the WWE UK series was primarily booked as a response to the ITV World of Sport series, but now that that appears to be dead, WWE doesn't have a reason to fast-track their own British production.
