Rey Mysterio, The Hurricane, Andrade Cien Almas & Adam Cole Compete In The 2018 WWE Royal Rumble

There were plenty of surprises in the men’s Royal Rumble tonight, featuring two NXT stars and two WWE stars from the past.

NXT champion Andrade Cien Almas, being accompanied by Zelina Vega, came in at number 7. He lasted a long while, nearly 30 minutes, before being eliminated by Randy Orton after Orton landed the KO while Almas launched off the top rope with a springboard.

The Hurricane came in at number 21 and stood face to face with John Cena. He went for a chokeslam, but Cena blocked it and threw him to the floor rather quickly. He left, but not before doing the signature Hurricane pose. He hasn't been seen in the WWE since 2010.

Adam Cole soon followed at number 23 and stood tall with the likes of Randy Orton and his fellow NXT counterpart Almas. He eventually got eliminated by the next person making a surprise return who was none other than Rey Mysterio.

He made a shocking return to WWE at number 27, making it to the final few moments of the match. He gave a double 619 to Randy Orton and John Cena before being eliminated by Finn Balor. This was the first time he's appeared on WWE television since 2015.
