* In a dark match, Candice LeRae defeated Vanessa Borne.
* In a second dark match, Kassius Ohno defeated Raul Mendoza.
* To start the tapings, Shayna Baszler defeated Dakota Kai via ref stoppage in under a minute. Baszler continues the assault post match, leading Ember Moon to come out and confront her.
* Lars Sullivan defeated Lio Rush, who got little in before being pinned. He called out Killian Dain, then destroyed Rush some more.
* Undisputed Era attacked Sanity backstage there seemed to be a cage structure nearby. They later came out to the ring and made fun of them. Nikki Cross came out, but was held back. William Regal then came out and made Fish and O'Reilly defend the NXT tag team titles against Aleister Black and Roderick Strong.
* Kyle O'Reilly and Bobby Fish defeated Aleister Black and Roderick Strong to retain the NXT tag team titles. Adam Cole distracts Black, which leads them brawling into the crowd. Strong was then taken out and pinned. Black was also eventually beat down as well. Regal comes out and makes it Cole vs. Black at NXT TakeOver: Philadelphia in a Extreme Rules match.
* In a non-title match, NXT champion Andrade Cien Almas defeated Kassius Ohno.
* Tino Sabbatelli and Riddick Moss defeated Heavy Machinery.
* Lacey Evans defeated Aliyah. Evans after the match called out Nikki Cross. Baszler comes out, stares down Evans and attacks Aliyah instead. Ember Moon comes in for the save, then challenges Baszler to a match. William Regal later confirmed Ember Moon vs. Shayna Baszler for TakeOver: Philadelphia.
- They announced that Johnny Gargano will face Velveteen Dream at the tapings, with the winner facing Almas at TakeOver.
* Roderick Strong defeated Fabian Aichner. Strong challenged Lars Sullivan after the match.
- Johnny Gargano came out to cut a promo.
* Authors of Pain defeated The Street Profits to earn a match against O'Reilly and Fish at TakeOver.
* No Way Jose defeated Cezar Bononi.
* Bianca Belair defeated Luscious Latasha.
* Authors of Pain beat up two guys they were due to face. Match never started. They called out the Undisputed Era.
* Johnny Gargano defeated Velveteen Dream, cementing his title match against Andrade Cien Almas at TakeOver.
