Stone Cold Steve Austin says he liked Dean Ambrose's and Seth Rollins' reunion and questions the future of The Shield.
On last week's Raw, the long-awaited reunion of The Shield happened. Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins had already teamed up and won the Raw Tag Team Championships. They had some segments with Roman Reigns over the past few weeks and on last Monday the three attacked The Miz, Curtis Axel, Sheamus, and Cesaro. On The Steve Austin Show, the host Steve Austin spoke about the reunion even though he was unaware that Reigns had finally joined Ambrose and Rollins.
"It seems that the WWE fans really enjoyed watching Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose back together. I watched that from just the bits and pieces that I watched. Hell, I enjoyed it. The whole storyline, I think both guys did a great job at telling that story. I didn't see where they added Roman back into the mix," said Austin. "When they put (Ambrose and Rollins) back together, they had some awesome tag-team matches together. They have some really good chemistry. I think they are doing well together. As a trio, they were really on fire," he added.
Austin then questioned if The Shield will be able to "re-energize" the original hype they had before their break-up. His co-host noted that The Shield received a big ovation but Reigns is still being booed.
On Monday, The Shield was involved in two matches. In the main event, Braun Strowman defeated Reigns with the help of Kane. Per the stipulation, the match at WWE TLC will now be five wrestlers versus the three members of The Shield.
