A24, the studio behind the upcoming Mark Kerr biopic, took to social media on Tuesday, May 21 to share a first look at the film. The photo released features Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson in heavy makeup portraying the role of Mark Kerr.

The movie, which will be directed and written by Benny Safdie (Uncut Gems), will center around the life of Kerr, a former MMA star. The film is being adapted from a 2002 documentary about Kerr that was produced by HBO. The cast for 'The Smashing Machine' also includes Academy Award nominee Emily Blunt, Lyndsey Gavin, Oleksandr Usyk, Ryan Bader.
'The Smashing Machine' is rumored to be released in 2025. Johnson is also set to star in upcoming films like 'Red One' and 'Moana 2', both of which are set to release later this year.
