AAA Are About to Have a Show on Disney Plus.
Marvel Comics and AAA have had a working relationship since 2020, which has allowed AAA to have in-ring characters inspired by famous Marvel Superheroes & villains with "Marvel Lucha Libre Editon". This relationship has now expanded into a new gear to a new series for these characters.
Announced during a taping of a Marvel Lucha Libre Match on the pre-show of TripleMania XXX: CDMX, AAA aired the trailer for the upcoming Marvel Lucha Libre show named "El Origen De La Mascara". The show is set to premiere on Disney Plus on December 21, 2022, becoming the streaming service's first Wrestling show with a wrestling promotion on the platform.
Disney did release a wrestling-themed series called "Ultra Violet & Black Scorpion" on the Disney Channel, which was released on June 3, 2022. The series was originally intended to feature Blue Demon Jr as a feature character but was pulled from the show.
AAA just announced a live action Marvel Lucha Libre series coming to Disney+. Vibe seems similar to Lucha Underground. Unclear if it’s just for Mexico or the US, too. Either way, looks awesome. #TriplemaniaXXX
