Britt Baker has become one of the most popular figures in AEW, not only with fans, but with wrestlers as well.
Tony Schiavone has formed a relationship with Baker, CM Punk mentioned Baker in his first promo back, and MJF brought up Baker and Punk's "relationship" in a promo, saying Punk is "trying to get into her pants."
Adam Cole, Baker's real life boyfriend, is having none of these mentions of his girlfriend.
"Funny enough, I actually didn't hear it until afterward, I was doing something else right before and I had missed it. All I'm going to say is...everyone loves my girlfriend. What's not to love? She's the AEW Women's World Champion, she's one of the hottest wrestlers in the world, and people can't help but talk about her. I can proudly say that I'm the one who stands by her side. She's killing it. I will say this if MJF ever brings her up again, I'm going to slap the taste out of his mouth. Not bothered by it, but if he does, I'm gonna hit him in the face. Not bothered at all. Proud of her. I'm gonna knock him out," an in-character Cole said in an interview on Rasslin with Brandon Walker.
Though Cole gave an in-character response to MJF bringing up Baker, he did offer MJF praise as a talent.
"I have closely followed MJF pretty much his entire career. I knew him when he was younger and first getting started. Watching him develop into the talent he's become at the age that he is, is miraculous to me. If I was as good as he is at 25 years old, that would be unbelievable. He has done such a fantastic job in the ring, I don't think he gets enough credit for how good he is in the ring, on the microphone, obviously, everyone knows how good he is on the microphone. The thing that impresses me the most is his presence and confidence when he's out there. You can't teach that. From the way that he walks, dresses, delivers the stuff he says, he's a fantastic performer," he said, before calling him a "garbage human" and "scum of the earth."
Cole also praised Jungle Boy, Sammy Guevara, and Darby Allin as the future of AEW.
Cole also expressed his displeasure with Schiavone and wasn't thrilled that Baker posted the following photo on social media.

"We're great. Couldn't be better," Cole said about his relationship with Schiavone. "I never talk to him, never see him, he's an absolute scumbag. The fact that Britt decided to share that ridiculous picture on Twitter kind of bothered me, but we're good."
Cole is set to be in the corner of The Young Bucks against Chuck Taylor & Rocky Romero on Wednesday's AEW Dynamite.
