Samoa Joe retained the gold at AEW Revolution, but Swerve Strickland did not take the losing fall.
At AEW Revolution, Samoa Joe defended the AEW World Championship against Swerve Strickland and "Hangman" Adam Page. All three competitors battled it out, and Page ultimately went to extreme lengths to stop Strickland from winning. At different points, Swerve nearly scored the win, but Page attacked the referee to stop the pin. Consumed by their feud, Page even hit Strickland with the world title. In the closing moments, Strickland hit Page with the JML Driver, but Joe took him out. The champion then trapped Page in a chokehold, and Page tapped out, so Joe retained.
Hangman is unhinged!
