AEW Adjusting Broadcast Schedule For NBA, Going Head To Head With NXT Takeover XXX

Shaq is backing All Elite Wrestling down in the low post and forcing changes to be made. Not really.

WarnerMedia announced Monday that three upcoming episodes of AEW Dynamite would be in temporary time slots to accomodate the NBA schedule.

WarnerMedia sent along the following information

Due to the NBA’s schedule, AEW: Dynamite will make the following shifts on TNT:
* The Wednesday, August 19 episode will air on Saturday, August 22 at 6:00pm ET / 3:00pm PT
* The Wednesday, August 26 episode will air Thursday, August 27 at 8:00pm ET/PT
* The Wednesday, September 16 episode will air Thursday, September 17 at 8:00pm ET/PT

AEW has been in a fierce viewership battle with NXT on Wednesday nights since last October. These episodes will be among some of the first to see AEW Dynamite run uncontested, albeit in an unusual time slot. The August 22 show will actually end up going head with NXT Takeover XXX for about an hour.

Along with these changes, there will be a shift in the post-show content that we produce in relation to these. For these shows, there will still be post-shows for both AEW and NXT, though the format will differ. All will be free to watch on Fightful.com.
