AEW Dynamite got a solid boost in terms of viewership and ratings this week.
The December 2 episode of AEW Dynamite averaged 913,000 viewers, which is up from the 712,000 viewers the November 25 episode drew. This was Dynamite's best viewership since September 9 when it drew 1.016 million viewers. The show also drew 543,000 viewers in the 18-49 demographic.
As for NXT, this week's show drew 658,000 viewers, down from November 25's 712,000 viewers. NXT drew just 210,000 viewers in the 18-49 demographic.
AEW drew a 0.42 rating in the 18-49 demographic this week, which is up from last week's 0.26 rating. NXT drew a 0.16 rating in the 18-49 demographic this week, which is down from last week's 0.20 rating.
AEW Dynamite saw the debut of WCW legend Sting, followed by an announcement that he has signed a multi-year deal with the company. In addition, Kenny Omega defeated Jon Moxley in the main event to become the new AEW World Champion, followed by an AEW/IMPACT Wrestling crossover teaser.
NXT this week was the final stop before TakeOver: WarGames, taking place on December 6. In the main event, Shotzi Blackheart defeated Raquel Gonzalez in a ladder match to give her team the WarGames advantage. In addition, WWE announced that Tommaso Ciampa and Timothy Thatcher will face off at TakeOver: WarGames.
