AEW viewership rises for blood and guts
ShowBuzz Daily reports AEW Dynamite drew 1.090 million viewers on May 5. The number is up from last week, which drew 889,000 viewers.
This week, AEW presented Blood & Guts. The match, between The Pinnacle and the Inner Circle, was the company's take on the old WarGames match complete with the roof on the two cages and submission or surrender being the only way to win.
In the end, Maxwell Jacob Friedman pushed Chris Jericho off of the roof through the stage which obviously had a set-up crash pad. This ending drew some good-natured ribbing from NXTs Shotzi Blackheart. Learn more about that here.
Wednesday's show drew a 0.42 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic, which is up from the 0.33 rating in the same demographic the show drew last week.
AEW Dynamite finished number one among the top 150 cable originals for Wednesday, even beating out The Challenge.
