AEW helps SWE.
On Sept. 25, Southside Wrestling Entertainment announced that NXT UK Women's Champion Kay Lee Ray, El Ligero, Joseph Conners, and Ilja Dragonov had been pulled from SWE Ninth Anniversary event by WWE. You can view their full statement by clicking here.
Shortly after the announcement, AEW co-executive vice president Cody Rhodes tweeted that he would like to help the promotion out. On Friday, Sept. 27, SWE announced that AEW would be sending Shawn Spears and MJF to SWE Ninth Anniversary on Oct. 26.

SWE noted that "more news coming soon," though it's not specified if AEW is sending more talent over. AEW stars Jimmy Havoc and Kip Sabian are former SWE Speed King Champion.
Cody took to Twitter later in the day to reveal that he and Brandi will be part of the event as well.

The SWE 9th Anniversary Show will also be the last for the promotion as Revolution Pro Wrestling will take over operations. RevPro currently has a working agreement with New Japan Pro Wrestling. In the past, WWE contracts have prevented NXT UK talent from working for non-WWE partnered promotions.
Fightful will provide more information as it is known.
