The January 22 edition of AEW Dynamite featured a major title change, as the Hurt Syndicate defeated Private Party to win the AEW World Tag Team Championships.

The duo of Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin dominated from the very beginning, but the tide specifically changed after Lashley put Isiah Kassidy through the announce table. Private Party tried to fight back, but in the end, the finishing sequence of the match started when Lashley nailed Kassidy with a spear.

After breaking up the pin, Marq Quen was on the receiving end of multiple release german suplexes from Shelton Benjamin. Benjmain then proceeded to hit Kassidy with his signature running knee before Lashley nailed him with one more spear to secure the victory.

Private Party's reign with the AEW World Tag Team Championships comes to an end at the 84 day mark. The team defended the titles on three seperate occasions throughout the reign.
