Ahmed Johnson talks about dream opponents from today's WWE roster and his own era.
Ahmed Johnson was briefly a top WWE Superstar during the New Generation era. Johnson headlined a number of WWE cards alongside names such as Shawn Michaels. From 1995 until 1998, Johnson was a major part of WrestleMania events and even had the distinction of being the first black WWE Intercontinental Champion.
In a new interview with Gregory Iron, Johnson spoke about who he would like to wrestle from today's WWE roster choosing the legitimate Fighters that are Bobby Lashley and Brock Lesnar. Ahmed also revealed two names that he would have liked to face during his time with WWE.
“I would love to go against Brock Lesnar or Bobby Lashley, for the present. Back then, I would have loved to for me and Warrior to hook up or me and Sycho Sid,” said Johnson.
Only four years separate Ahmed Johnson’s WWE departure from Brock Lesnar’s WWE debut, the same amount of time as Shawn Michaels' first retirement. As for Warrior and Sycho Sid, the only time Johnson ever headlined a pay-per-view was teaming alongside Sycho Sid and Shawn Michaels during the seventh WWE In Your House event, International Incident. Sid was replacing the Ultimate Warrior that night.
WWE, through the NXT brand, will once again be hosting In Your House on Saturday, June 4.
