AJ Styles Provides An Update On His Injury; Calls It "Wear And Tear" And Hopes To Return Soon

AJ Styles sets the record straight on his injury.

Prior to WWE Raw going on the air, it was announced that AJ Styles would be in action in a fatal four-way elimination match. However, once Raw went live on USA Network, Styles was pulled from the bout and replaced by Baron Corbin. It was revealed during the broadcast that Styles had a lower back injury, which kept him out of the match.

Shortly after WWE Raw went off the air, AJ Styles jumped on his MIXER channel for a friendly round of gaming. During his streaming session, Styles provided an update on the injury.

"I've got something going on with my AC joint. It's rubbing up against bone and we thought I had a fracture. It may not be the case, which is a good thing. It may require a shot to keep the swelling down. It's not a major injury. It's just wear and tear. Hopefully, it doesn't keep me out for very long. I can't stand being out but I haven't had rest in a long time. So I'm going to take time to rest my body so I can be back. WWE has made sure we've dealt with this injury properly. Trust me, I want to be back. I want to earn my money."

Styles isn't being advertised for live events until June 27. He is advertised as appearing at WWE Super ShowDown on June 7 but as of now is currently without a scheduled match.
