AJ Styles: Randy Orton Was Pissed The Lights Blinded Half The Stadium During Our WrestleMania Match

AJ Styles talks about his WrestleMania 35 match with Randy Orton.

When it finally happened in 2019, AJ Styles vs. Randy Orton was a WrestleMania dream match for the better part of a decade. Unfortunately for those in MetLife Stadium, lighting issues caused a bulk of the match not to be seen for those actually in attendance.

AJ Style recently spoke about this mishap during a Fanatics Live stream on the UpUpDownDown YouTube channel, revealing that while he was very upset by what was happening to the live audience, Randy Orton was even more upset.

"That’s definitely one to forget because the lights were blinding people. We were supposed to go two or one, and then, of course, Brock [Brock Lesnar] gets to do anything he wants, so he switched it. By the time we went out there, the lights had come on and blinded half the stadium. I was pissed. You know who was even more pissed than me? Randy [Randy Orton]. I knew I didn’t have to get mad if Randy was mad," he said.

AJ Styles will work with LA Knight at WWE WrestleMania XL. Knight was recently quoted as saying that while the match might not steal the show, it will definitely be good. Read his comments here.
