It was a TNA Wrestling reunion on the August 14 episode of Friday Night SmackDown.
AJ Styles decided that he needs a statistician to help him determine who the next Challenger for his Intercontinental Championship should be. Even though Dana Brooke is right there, AJ Styles decided to go with somebody he has a little more history with.
Mr. Park, also known as Abyss and Joseph Park in TNA Wrestling, appeared on the August 14 episode alongside AJ as his personal statistician and AJ Styles would reveal that nobody is worthy of challenging him for the WWE Intercontinental Championship. That is when another former TNA wrestler appeared, Jeff Hardy.
Jeff Hardy also has a history in TNA Wrestling with both AJ Styles and Abyss. However, in 2020, his main focus was letting AJ Styles know that he wants to challenge him for the WWE Intercontinental Championship, the first championship he ever won on his own in WWE.

After Jeff got the better of AJ, he would go outside the ring to a scared Mister Park and tease going after him before walking away celebrating with the audience.

It was later confirmed that Jeff Hardy will face it is styles for the WWE Intercontinental Championship on the August 21st episode of SmackDown.
Abyss, Chris Park, was hired by WWE as a producer in 2019. This is his first WWE television appearance ever for WWE and he was in his element, inside the ring with Jeff Hardy and AJ Styles in front of an intimate audience in Orlando Florida, very reminiscent of a 2005 packed IMPACT Zone!
