Brett Lauderdale Comments On AEW Running Hammerstein Less Than 30 Days Before GCW

Speaking with Denise Salcedo for Instinct Culture, Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn were asked to comment on their excitement level for the match.

Isla Dawn: It’s just unmeasurable [laughs]. It’s just being home in general is always exciting, being home, Scotland’s first PLE, it’s a really exciting time in Scotland because the Euro’s going on. Scotland’s kind of the center of the world at the minute. Being able to do that, and then actually be on the show, competing for a title, that is just…I was hoping to be here just to do maybe a bit of media, but to be actually on the show is just a dream.

Alba Fyre: Not just to have us on the show going for the tag titles, we’ve also got Piper [Niven] going for Bayley’s title, Drew [McIntyre] going for Damian [Priest], and that’s incredible that there’s so many matches. The crowd deserves this, and we’re gonna give them everything we’ve got.

Fyre went on to note that they intended to take the opportunity and run with it. She expressed her intent to win the gold and ensure that they were on every show. Likewise, Dawn said that they had been patient, as they knew hard work and talent would pay off.

AF: This is it. This is our opportunity, and we need to take this and run with it. We need to win those titles and just make sure we’re on every single show.

ID: We’re no stranger to hard work, we’re no stranger to waiting. We spent a lot of time on the indies not getting the bookings I wanted, not getting on the shows I wanted to, and in NXT UK, like wanting to be like Alba and win the NXT UK Women’s Title, didn’t get to do that, it’s fine. Never got a chance [laughs]. But we’re used to waiting, we’re used to being patient, and we’re used to knowing that at the end of the day, hard work, talent, all these things will prevail, so we’ve waited this long, we’ve been working hard the whole time, so this is our opportunity, and we’re going to take it.
