Alberto El Patron Releases Statement Explaining Absence From Triplemania Card

Alberto El Patron was scheduled to compete at this weekend's Triplemania, but the latest card has his name noticeably absent.

El Patron released a statement on the matter, explaining why he's no longer scheduled to appear.

Fightful's own Carlos Toro provided the translation:

Though this statement, I must inform you all that I will not participate in TripleMania XXVI despite in previous months me being a part of the promotion for this event.

The clear motive for this being that I could not come to an agreement with Dorian Roldan, director of AAA, due to him not paying a deposit for my payment and for not fulfilling with the terms agreed upon for my participation in said event. Despite what I just informed you, the last thing I want to do is fail my dear people.

In a few weeks, I’ll announce my new projects in which I can be able to be close to you guys whom have bought tickets to see me and have always been with me during my career supporting me.

Your friend, Alberto Del Rio ‘El Patron’

AAA announced in March that El Patron would wrestle on the card, but no opponent was given.

The annual event takes place Saturday, Aug. 25. The event will be headlined by a four way mask cage match featuring Pentagon Jr., LA Park, El Hijo del Fantasma, and Psycho Clow. The event will stream on Twitch. Fightful will have full results of the show.
