Aleister Black is not concerned with brand names but competition.
For over a year, Aleister Black has been a part of NXT's roster. Since then he has been undefeated including matches against Kassius Ohno and Andrade Almas. He also appeared once on the main roster show WWE Main Event. In an interview with Inside The Ropes, Black was asked about a move to the main roster. He said if he moves up, he does not care about the brand name of the show.
"I would see myself anywhere I can be an asset. Not just to the company but myself as a performer, as a competitor as well. I don't specifically look at brands. I look at the competition that's within the brand. Whether that's 205 Live, whether that's Smackdown, whether that's Raw, that doesn't matter to me. All I want is the competition to have the best possible matches, to give people the best possible moments," said Black
Black claimed NXT is where he wants to be and the appearance on WWE Main Event will not be a regular thing.
"For now, I am very good in staying at NXT because I still have a lot to prove at NXT. I haven't even begun yet. Doing Main Event was a fantastic experience but for now, it's going to be (just) an experience," said Black.
NXT's refreshed roster was another topic of discussion. Black said NXT needs to "keep this train rolling" and the current roster is prepared to put on a great show at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn III on August 19th.
Also in the interview, Black discussed the creation of his new name in NXT and how it shaped his character. He also mentioned falling in love with professional wrestling after seeing Yokozuna on his television for a few seconds.
