SmackDown bolstered its women’s division with the addition of Bliss and Cross, who held the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships up until a couple of weeks ago. SmackDown already has Bayley as the brand's champion as well as Lacey Evans and former 24/7 Champions Tamina and Carmella.
Bliss and Cross won the tag titles on the August 5 edition of Raw, but lost the belts to The Kabuki Warriors at the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view on October 6. Bliss is a former three-time Raw Women’s champion and a former two-time SmackDown Women’s Champion. Despite Bliss and Cross being eligible of being drafted as a team during the 2019 WWE Draft, Raw picked Bliss in the third round and Cross in the fourth round of the first night of the draft, which took place on the October 11 episode of Friday Night SmackDown.
The official launch of "WWE Backstage" will begin on November 5 at 11 p.m. ET on FS1.
