"Little Miss Bliss" praises WWE creative for the build to her and Nia Jax's match.
The current RAW Women's Champion Alexa Bliss will be walking into her second consecutive WrestleMania with gold around her waist. The only difference is that this time she will be in singles competition against a woman who was once considered to be her "best-friend", Nia Jax. Speaking with TV Insider Bliss would go on to break down the foundation of her and Nia's feud.
“It has been a very real road with Nia,” Bliss shared.“We both have struggled with image issues in the past, so, it’s a very real subject that we are bringing to light with mine and Nia’s story. I think because it’s an actual issue, people can relate. There are people who are bullied or are bullies. I think it’s one of those things that people are going to be invested in our story because it’s real and there is real emotion behind it. People know that me and Nia up to this point were best friends, which they’ve seen through Monday Night RAW and Total Divas. Now our storyline is more personal; I think that is what getting people into what we are doing.”
The longest reigning RAW Women's Champion gave credit to WWE's creative team for helping piece together the build to the her match at WrestleMania.
“Our creative team is awesome,” she said.“They always take our suggestions for entrances, we always try to work with them because sometimes they have some ideas for us or sometimes there are no ideas at all. So, we just have to mesh together and be open to suggestions on both ends. Our creative teams and writing teams are always great about that.”
Alexa Bliss's fiance', former NXT Tag Team Champion Buddy Murphy has not had the easiest road to travel in the WWE. Bliss once was a valet for Buddy Murphy and Wesley Blake in NXT, but Bliss soon found stardom on the main roster while Murphy although featured on the road at NXT house shows, never was prominently featured on NXT TV. In late January Buddy Murphy made an appearance in the WWE Cruiserweight Championship tournament and has been in a key spot on 205 Live since his debut. Bliss stated that she could not be anymore prouder of him.
"He has worked so hard,” Bliss said. “He has been in NXT now for around five years. We were signed around the same time. I was signed a couple of months before him. To see the struggles he has gone through with the process, to know I wouldn’t be the Alexa Bliss I am without him and Blake, it’s nice to see him get the recognition he deserves and the opportunity because he is very talented. He is one of the most talented guys I know. This place is almost like a lottery: They always describe it to us like this upside-down funnel. A lot of people come in, but very few make it to the top. It’s nice to see him make that transition to 205 Live. "She added, It’s never once been jealousy. We are both happy for each other. He is there for me and happy for me. I’m there for him and proud of him.”
