Alexa Bliss wants that WrestleMania moment for herself and her division.
In what will be her second title defense since winning the Raw Women's Championship at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view, Alexa Bliss will be wrestling UFC Hall of Famer Ronda Rousey who Bliss has labeled a "rookie." The two have had some physical run-ins on Raw but WWE SummerSlam will be their first match against each other on WWE programming.
Bliss has been with the company since 2013 and worked her way to the top of the women's division. With WWE Evolution, the all-women pay-per-view, on the calender, Bliss has a new goal for her and the division. In an interview with the Mirror, she said she wants to main event a WrestleMania.
"The ultimate goal is to main event WrestleMania. That is the big one and is on all of the women's bucket lists. It really is and would be the epitome of what this evolution is. I am also just happy to help continuing to elevate the women’s evolution," said Bliss.
Other wrestlers have expressed the same desire including Smackdown roster member Charlotte Flair who will also be in a Championship match at SummerSlam. Fightful Wrestling will have live coverage, discussion, and a recapping podcast for SummerSlam.
