Andrade looked to be floundering in NXT in 2017 when Zelina Vega appeared to rescue him.
Andrade went from being "the guy in the suspenders" to NXT Champion and one of the hottest acts in the company thanks to his partnership with Vega. The two remained together up until this year, when they split ahead of the WWE Draft.
Vega was then released by WWE on November 13 in what was described by WWE as a "breach of contract." While many in WWE have been quiet following her release, Andrade took to social media to thank Vega for their partnership with Vega returning the compliment.
Thank you for everything @AndradeCienWWE ---- being with you will forever be one of the highlights of my career. Both professionally and personally. You’re one of the best in the world and it was an honor. Te quiero mucho hermano ---- #tranquilo https://t.co/T21VHayANF
