Andrade: Never Quit Because Things Got Tough

On Monday night it was reported Andrade has been suspended 30 days for a wellness violation WWE confirmed the news on Tuesday.

Andrade wrestled on the Royal Rumble Kick-Off show, successfully defending his United States Championship against Humberto Carrillo. The following night on Raw, Andrade battled Carrillo in a rematch. Carrillo won by disqualification when Zelina Vega interfered. Following the bout, Carrillo laid out Andrade with a hammerlock DDT on the exposed concrete. The angle was done as a way to write Andrade off television for the next 30 days.

Taking to Instagram, Andrade issued his first comments since news broke of his suspension and wellness violation. Andrade didn't directly address the suspension, but wrote, "Never quit because things got tough, remember where you come from and where you are going."

Andrade's suspension ends on Feb. 28, which is 30 days from WWE confirming the suspension.
