Santos Escobar has backup.
Santos Escobar advanced to the finals of the WWE United States Title Top Contenders tournament on the December 22 episode of WWE SmackDown by defeating Bobby Lashley in the semifinals.
Escobar got help from Humberto Carrillo & Angel Garza, who have most recently been featured on NXT. Carrillo & Garza were initially masked, attacking the Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins) on the outside, allowing Escobar to sneak a victory out.
They unmasked while celebrating with Escobar.

Escobar will take on Kevin Owens in the finals of the US Title Top Contenders tournament. The winner will challenge Logan Paul for the title.
