On the November 6 episode of NXT, Angel Garza took on former Cruiserweight Champion Tony Nese in a top contender match, with the winner moving on to face NXT Cruiserweight Champ Lio Rush down the line. Garza would emerge victorious, and is now slated for his first ever championship match under the WWE banner.

After the match, Garza and Lio Rush met on the stage, where Lio Rush also met a slap across the face. Now the two will face off for the title on the November 13 episode of NXT.

Also added for the November 13 episode of NXT is a ladder match between Io Shirai and Mia Yim where the winner will give her respective team an advantage for their upcoming WarGames match at NXT TakeOver: WarGames III.
