United States Champion Jeff Hardy will take on Shinsuke Nakamura on Smackdown.
On Monday, Smackdown General Manager Paige created a match between Daniel Bryan and Shelton Benjamin which will be their first singles match against each other in WWE. Later on Monday, WWE.com revealed that Paige also created a match between Jeff Hardy and Shinsuke Nakamura. The two have never met in a match on WWE television.
According to WWE.com, the match was created after the following exchange on Twitter.

It was not mentioned if the match will be for the United States Championship or not.
On Sunday at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view, Nakamura will be in a Last Man Standing match against AJ Styles for the WWE Championship. Jeff Hardy does not have a United States Championship match scheduled and lost a Money in the Bank qualifying match to Daniel Bryan.
Fightful Wrestling will have live coverage and a recapping podcast for both Smackdown and Money in the Bank.
