Anthony Greene declares himself as “The Alternative.”
Anthony Greene was most recently in NXT as August Grey. August Grey was released from WWE on Friday, June 25, and on the same night, he was featured on WWE 205 Live.
Now, Anthony Greene looks to recapture the glory that brought him to WWE in the first place as he heads back to the independent scene, no longer as “Retro” Anthony Greene but as “The Alternative” Anthony Greene.
Revealing his new moniker on Twitter, Greene posted a minute-long video where he declared that his career would have been over a long time ago if he had listened to the naysayers. All of this took place while he was scratching off different monikers for himself before declaring that he had no alternative and therefore, he is “The Alternative.”
“If my career ended, when I was told, ‘No,’ I would have been done a long time ago. Life is not about pass or fail. It's about how you come back from it. It's about having a backup plan. Having an alternative. Anthony Greene does not have an alternative. I am the alternative," said Greene.
