Apollo Crews Gets His Last Name Back

Apollo is Apollo Crews again.

In February, WWE seemed to have dropped Apollo Crews' last name and only called him "Apollo." The change was reflected on the WWE website which now features his last name again.

During the time of the name change, Crews did not change his character and stayed with Titus O'Neil and Dana Brooke. WWE has removed the first and last name of several wrestlers over the years including Cesaro, Rusev, and Elias. At one point, WWE dropped Charlotte Flair's last name but it returned like Crews' name.

On Raw, Crews and O'Neil were attacked by Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre. Ziggler had just came to Raw as part of the Superstar Shakeup , Crews and O'Neil interrupted his in-ring speech, and Ziggler had brought McIntyre as backup.

Despite WWE.com changing his name, Crews has not changed his name on his twitter profile but he did wear a t-shirt on Raw which featured his last name and commentary called him "Apollo Crews."

Fightful Wrestling had live coverage and a recapping podcast for Raw last night.
