Ariane Andrew provides an update on Naomi.
Fans haven't seen Naomi on WWE television since she and Mercedes Mone (Sasha Banks in WWE) walked out of the company in May 2022. Naomi & Mone were the WWE Women's Tag Team Champions at the time, but walked out over reported creative differences with Vince McMahon.
Mone became a free agent at the start of 2023 and signed with NJPW. She returned to the ring at NJPW Batte in the Valley in February and won the IWGP Women's Championship by defeating KAIRI.
Naomi's wrestling status is currently unknown, but according to her former Funkadactyls partner Ariane Andrew (Cameron in WWE), Naomi is currently recovering from shoulder surgery.
"She is recovering from shoulder surgery. I want her to answer the question for herself. I know she's recovering from shoulder surgery. I'm super proud of her, that's my sister from another mister. You'll have to ask her for youself how she's feeling, see if her shoulder is feeling good because she's recovering right now," said Ariane during a Golden Ring Collectibles signing.
It is unknown if, when, or where Naomi will return to the ring.
Naomi made red carpet and runaway appearances alongside Mone during their time away from wrestling in 2022. Both women are set to appear on an upcoming episode of Bar Rescue.
