Aron Stevens Says Goodbye To Professional Wrestling At NWA Alwayz Ready

Aron Stevens has said goodbye to the industry he loves.

On June 11 at NWA Alwayz Ready, Aron Stevens was defeated by Trevor Murdoch in what was being advertised as his swan song. Later during the broadcast, Stevens spoke with May Valentine and said that he has loved professional wrestling since he was 16 years old and went to train at Killer Kowalski's gym. Unfortunately, though he came close on numerous occasions over the course of his career, he was never able to catch the carrot that was dangled in front of him.

Stevens would continue on to say that he wishes he could've won a World Title and brought it to Kowalski's grave. He loves wrestling but he doesn't believe it loves him back, so it's time to start thinking about his health and future. Sadly, adulation doesn't pay the bills. Instead, he and May will take a trip to Brazil and start the next chapter of their lives.

Stevens has spent the past four years of his career in the NWA, where he has won the NWA National Championship and the NWA World Tag Team Championships with JR Kratos. Before that, Stevens had a short tenure with IMPACT Wrestling under the name 'Aron Rex'.

Stevens is best known for his time in WWE, as he was in the company's various developmental systems until 2011. After being called up to the main roster, Stevens tagged with various partners including Cody Rhodes and The Miz.

Fightful will have complete results from Alwayz Ready immediately following its conclsion.
