Athena wants an all-women pay-per-view featuring ROH's best squaring off with the best AEW has to offer.
Athena has been the Ring of Honor Women's World Champion for nearly 600 days. She has found great success in ROH, and even though she's also signed to AEW, she rarely appears on AEW programming. However, that does not mean that she isn't open to testing herself against those who regularly appear for AEW.
Speaking with Stephanie Chase during a recent interview before ROH Death Before Dishonor 2024, Athena was asked about the potential of doing an event like WWE Evolution in AEW. In her response, the Ring of Honor Women's World Champion noted that she wants to headline an all-women's pay-per-view that features AEW stars against Ring of Honor stars.
"I mean, absolutely. Who wouldn't? I would love to do an AEW vs. ROH pay-per-view with the girls. I mean, honestly, I know we just want to be considered equals. As amazing as that opportunity is, I would absolutely love it, and I would hope to main event that. We'll see what happens. The future is so bright for everyone's division under the AEW and ROH banner. We have a lot of stuff cooking. I don't want to spoil surprises, but we got a lot of stuff cooking that I think everyone's gonna look forward to."
Before that hypothetical event can happen, Athena has to retain her championship against Queen Aminata at Ring of Honor Death Before Dishonor.
