Two title matches have been added to the August 2 episode of AEW Dynamite.
AEW announced that Toni Storm will defend the AEW World Women's Championship against Hikaru Shida. In the main event of the July 28 episode of AEW Rampage, Shida defeated Nyla Rose. Storm, Saraya, and Ruby Soho stared Shida down after the bout, and the broadcast team confirmed the title match.

The broadcast team also announced that Aussie Open (Mark Davis and Kyle Fletcher) will put the ROH World Tag Team Championship on the line against AAA Mega Champion El Hijo del Vikingo and Komander. The August 2 episode of AEW Dynamite will mark the 200th edition of the show. Davis and Fletcher won the titles at ROH Death Before Dishonor 2023.
Komander scored his first AEW win on the July 28 episode of AEW Rampage, as he defeated Kip Sabian in a singles match.
