Baron Corbin advances.
On the July 10 episode of WWE Speed, Baron Corbin faced Angelo Dawkins in a first-round match in the new #1 Contender's Tournament. Corbin took control early on as he slammed Dawkins with a Death Valley Driver. He grounded Dawkins, but the former tag team champion rallied. Dawkins got a two-count with a Swanton. The match came down to the last minute, and the two stars went back and forth.
In the end, Corbin hit the End of Days for the win.

WWE announced that Carmelo Hayes will face Ilja Dragunov in the #1 Contender's Tournament on the July 17 episode of WWE Speed. The winner of the tournament will earn a shot at the reigning champion, Andrade. Andrade previously defended the title against Xavier Woods.
