Baron Corbin is back in NXT to prove a point.
In the opening promo on the June 6 episode of WWE NXT, Corbin went into detail about his return to the yellow and black brand. Corbin noted that while he never thought he would return to NXT, he was sick and tired of hearing stars complain about not getting called up to the main roster. Corbin finished by saying that he was going to make everyone in the NXT locker room regret ever signing a contract with WWE.
Ilja Dragunov then interrupted Corbin by reminding him that he's in line for a match for the NXT Championship after his big win over Dijak at Battleground. The two agreed to face off in a match later tonight before Corbin was attacked by Trick Williams.

Corbin first returned to NXT during the May 30 episode of the show, attacking Carmelo Hayes after his NXT Championship defense against Noam Dar.
